![]() ![]() I did test this on another Mac running macOS Catalina and ran into the same issue and the issue also extends to an old MacBook running macOS High Sierra. ![]() ![]() For context, I’m running the latest version of macOS Catalina and I’m printing to a HP OfficeJet Pro 8500. It was bizarre given that I had no problems printing from my MacBook the day before, I hadn’t recently installed any new macOS updates or HP driver updates, all the typical troubleshooting steps and fixes didn’t work, there were no connectivity or hardware issues and I was able to print fine from a Windows PC. Error messages include “ Stopped – ‘Filter’ failed” and “One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing …”įor me, it happened at the worst time as I had numerous documents to print on Friday and spent hours trying to troubleshoot and research the issue. Without valid, signed credentials, macOS will not recognize or accept those HP drivers resulting in a variety of error messages if you attempt to print to your HP printer from your Mac.
